from S H A T T E R the GlassMore or less, Stormchaser was in a good mood. All of his supplies were accounted for which made him extremely happy considering the time of year. Plenty of cat nip too, which was pretty rare to be honest. Oh well, he wasn't complaining. But he was going to start if he is didn't get out of camp. His den was to stuffy at the moment for his liking and even though he could see the sky from within the camp, he needed to get out. Doing a quick one over, he flicked his ear in dismissal and walked out of his den and swiftly, he doggedly left camp. A rush of guilt shot through his stomach but he tried to push it away. He wasn't looking after anyone so he should have no reason to feel guilty for getting out right?
Making his way across the windy moor, he looked around for anything interesting. Nothing really, not even a stringy rabbit was jumping around taunting him. It was oddly quiet and a wave of unease washed over him. Something had to be up. Stopping, he strained to hear anything, but no sound of trouble came to him. Strange, he thought to himself. Oh well, it was probably nothing anyways. It was a chilly day, the patrols had probably already been sent out. Stormchaser had no idea either way, he hadn't paid that much attention, he was busy counting herbs. Shrugging his shoulders, he turned to look across the moor at ThunderClan territory, he could faintly see the trees and the if he tried really hard, he could make out the tiniest bit of two-leg place. He shook his pelt out in disgust.
A strong gust of wind whipped around his body. With it, he caught a very strong smell of ShadowClan. It was to strong to be coming from the territory, a shiver of anger and confusion ran up his spin causing his fur to stand on end. A low growl rumbled from his chest and changing his direction, he stalked forward. Remembering his role as medicine cat, he tried his best to soften his demeanor from angry to calm and collected. If the situation was bad, and it was a patrol crossing territories, he could handle it with authority. Dread stabbed through him. He hoped it wasn't that. Deep down, he hoped it was just a young warrior or apprentice who accidentally ran into WindClan territory. That sounded like a much simpler scenario. With that hope in his mind, he loosened up and came upon the scene.
Nope, it was neither. Though he was relieved to see another WindClan cat. Keeping his distance until he was able to fully assess the hostility or lack there of, he observed. Falconwind, he recalled, the name coming to him suddenly. He was far less familiar with her then any other cat in the Clan, oh well, she was still better than nothing. Now, who was the ShadowClan cat? He was unsure. A squeamish feeling filled his stomach. He figured he should make his presence known. Stepping forward, he raised his head. "Hello Falconwind, is there a problem?" His paws carried him closer and it was made very clear to him that there was a problem. Both cats looked like they were ready to slit each others throats the drop of a mouse.
